Ontime Privacy Policy

This privacy policy applies to the Ontime app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices that was created by Sam Carty (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a Free service. This service is intended for use "AS IS".

The Application does not obtain any information when you download and use it. Registration is not required to use the Application, and no account is created.

There is one exception, and it only happens if you choose it: sending feedback. If you never use the feedback feature, nothing about you or your device is collected or sent anywhere. See "What happens when I send feedback?" below.

The Application includes an optional feedback form, reachable from the Saved screen and from Settings. Feedback is handled by Doorbell.io, a third-party feedback service. Nothing is sent to Doorbell unless you open that form.

When you submit feedback, the following is sent to Doorbell:

• the message you wrote;
• your email address. It is required, and the form will not send without it. It is used only so that the Service Provider can reply to your feedback or ask a follow-up question, and it is never used for marketing or added to any mailing list;
• basic technical details about the app and device — the app version and your operating system version, and on Android your device manufacturer and model. These are used to reproduce problems, and none of them identify you or persist beyond the report.

Opening the feedback form also tells Doorbell that the form was shown, so that the Service Provider can tell how many people were asked for feedback against how many replied. This carries nothing you have written and no details about your device.

Because the message is a free text box, please avoid including personal information you would rather not share — your name, other contact details, or the specifics of journeys you have taken. Only include what is needed to explain your feedback. If you would rather not share an email address, please do not use the feedback form; you can contact the Service Provider by any other means you prefer instead.

This Application can be given permission to use the location reported by your device for the purposes of providing relevant contextual information based on it. Your location stays on your device and is never sent to the Service Provider.

Only if you send feedback. In that case the information described above is shared with Doorbell.io, the third-party service that receives it. Doorbell stores and processes that information on servers in the United States, under its own privacy policy, which is available at doorbell.io/privacy.

No other data is shared with third parties, and feedback is never used for advertising, profiling, or sold to anyone.

Sending feedback is entirely optional and never happens on its own. If you do not open the feedback form, nothing is collected and nothing is shared.

If you have already sent feedback and would like it deleted, email the Service Provider at hello@getontime.uk and it will be removed from Doorbell.

You can stop all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling it. You may use the standard uninstall processes as may be available as part of your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace or network.

The Application is not used to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13.

The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. The Service Provider encourages all children to never submit any personally identifiable information through the Application and/or Services. The Service Provider encourages parents and legal guardians to monitor their children's Internet usage and to help enforce this Policy by instructing their children never to provide personally identifiable information through the Application and/or Services without their permission. If you have reason to believe that a child has provided personally identifiable information to the Service Provider through the Application and/or Services, please contact the Service Provider (hello@getontime.uk) so that they will be able to take the necessary actions. You must also be at least 16 years of age to consent to the processing of your personally identifiable information in your country (in some countries we may allow your parent or guardian to do so on your behalf).

The Service Provider is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. The Application collects nothing unless you send feedback, so in normal use there is no data to be accessed by unauthorized individuals. Feedback you do send is transmitted over an encrypted connection and held by Doorbell.io, whose own security practices then apply to it.

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes to their Privacy Policy by updating this page with the new Privacy Policy. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.

This privacy policy is effective as of 2026-09-12.

By using the Application, you are consenting to the processing of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by the Service Provider.
